[SOLVED] Please advise

I am using my dedicated 2GB graphic card (AMD Radeon HD 8600M), but when i am playing GTA 5 its just showing 512mb. Could you please help me why its just showing 512mb instead of 2gb??

My Laptop Specs are:

Core i5 4300M
AMD Radeon HD 8600M 2GB
4GB Ram

8600M is a Nvidia GPU that has 512MB dedicated VRAM. The rest might be allocated through system's RAM which is not even remotely as fast. Even if you can make it work with 2 GB you won't get better performance, only worse.

when i play gta 5 it plays well but it plays on small screen. and when i change its size in game it gives this error "video memory exceeded the selected settings require more video memory than is available on your current graphic card please lower your settings"

Also in game its only shows 512mb instead of 2gb in gta 5 graphics settings.

You said twice 8600M and the link was for a 8690M. Even then, the link shows 1024MB (1GB) which still is not 2GB and since your game recognize it as 512MB made it more possible to be a 8600M from Nvidia.

To clarify things, run userbenchmark and post the link to the results here.
