Please assist with the building of my gaming pc

I am brand new to the PC world and i was going to build my own gaming pc for $1000 or less these are my current specs, it cost around $1,063 in total and i was wondering. first is this a ok build also is there any way i could drop this builds price a little bit but not affect its performance that much. i would love your opinion and help.

if you dont mind wiping your hard drive once. you can with an 8g usb stick download windows 10 beta for free. then sometime latter this year windows 10 full version will drop. when it drops you buy oem or retail copy then and then wipe and reinstall your os. if you do that you could buy a better case or a 256g ssd with the 100.00 from the os.

If you have a micro center, you can probably get a good deal on an intel processor and open box parts such as the GTX 970. General tips to keep prices down are to look for sales, hunt open box/refurbished, keep an eye on PC Part Picker.
