A good friend of mine really needs a new pc... but he's on a VERY tight budget... so... I've been hunting for a proper deal.... so, please give your opinions :)

Intended use: web browsing, minecraft... just light use 😉

CPU: AMD A8-7600
CPU cooler: Noctua NH-L9x65
MOBO: MSI A68HM-P33 V2
RAM: G.Skill Ares - DDR3 2133Mhz
Case: MS-Tech LC-09 (included 400w PSU)

After a lot of consideration, I decided to go with a case with included power supply, simply because this system won't be seeing any serious use, and I think the Noctua CPU cooler would have some added value for my friend... who values silence when using his pc.

Also, I intend to reuse his current HDD, simply because a new HDD and Windows license would smash through his budget. So salvaging the old one, and using it again, that seemed like the best thing to do.

So... yeah, please tell me what you think, feel free to share any advice... and thanks :)

Buy a 120gb SSD and just use a mirroring program to make the drives identical, you wont have to purchase windows again. SSDs are worth it on every build.

I would love to, and if he can somehow free up some more space in his budget, I will include an SSD... but right now, it's just not possible 🙁

You can normally find both the 7650k & 7700k cheaper than the 7600 for some reason (obviously that's market dependant)

I would push you to getting a 68 series board - there's a good chance a 58 board will need a bios update to run a kaveri CPU.

on the MOBO, would this suffice: Asrock FM2A68M-DG3+

on the CPU: sadly, this isn't the case in my market (at least right now)

I'll update the original specs as well :)

The Netherlands, but I'm also trying to buy everything through the same store, because the person buying this asked for me to do so.

Any extra thoughts on the build, as it stands, suggestions perhaps? :)

What store are you using ??
Faster ram makes a difference with a kaveri chips - 2133mhz ups performance by nearly 20% in some instances - even 1866 is worth a small outlay extra over 1600 IMO.

The noctua cooler is overpriced IMO, there are good options available for far far less .

store: http://www.afuture.nl/

well, I'd love to hear about those coolers :) I admit, I'm a Noctua fan boy, and I turn to them everytime

Gonna look into that higher speed RAM, because it'll require another MOBO, this one only supports up to 1600.... it's all governed by the budget, so here's hoping

Changed MOBO to: MSI A68HM-P33 V2

Changed RAM to: G.Skill Ares - DDR3 2133Mhz

Main post updated to reflect changes

just had a quick play mate on there.
your top list comes to 291 euro, what id do for the same money is this.

a proper decent quality ( & quiet ) 300w psu,a decent case with preinstalled 140mm & 120mm fans,that gabriel cooler & some 2133 cas 9 ram (that gigayte board doess support 2133 natively)

be a lot cooler & quieter system at the end of the day
