Hello,
I have not built rigs for several years, and the situation has changed since then. After doing some homework, this is what I came up with as a proposal.
Notes:
Thanks a lot!
I have not built rigs for several years, and the situation has changed since then. After doing some homework, this is what I came up with as a proposal.
Notes:
- the main use is scientific computing, including deep learning
- yes, I need 128 Gb RAM
- yes, I need 24Gb VRAM, and may be bridging 2 GPUs for 48Gb
- thinking about 1 or 2 RTX 4090s; will the 1200 W PSU from Corsair be adequate in the latter case?
- any experience with different brands that manufacture 4090s, in terms of reliability and noise? (my ASUS Rog Strix 3090 is dead quiet even at full load but 4090s are not on the market from this brand)
- anything else that instantly comes to your mind after looking at this and that you consider insane / unwise / etc?
Thanks a lot!
