First time building a mid-level gaming PC, 1440p, budget of about $2000-2500. This is my "revised" build after my first post. Any suggestions?

Games benefit from low latency RAM RE CL30.

If you prefer running dual M.2 SSD's (o/s and storage) then look at this board.

The difference between the locked 12 gen i7 and the unlocked i7 is one frame per second on average. I doubt it's any different with the 13 gen i7's.

If you prefer RGB then switch out the case and cooler with these.

A good build.
My thoughts:

I would simply use a single 2tb m.2 for the C drive.
If/when it fills up, then get more storage.

The processor is capable of driving much stronger graphics cards as a future upgrade. Buy a 850w version of the psu.

The motherboard does seem expensive.

AM5 build with 7800X3D and 4080:

Big fancy cooler with temp readout

Mobo with beefy VRMs and PCIe 5.0

PSU with 16 pin connector

case with front panel type C
