The metro series is and always has been brutal on pc's in general. It's why it's a staple of most gpu/cpu reviews. And nothing could touch a 2080ti, it beat even Titan V cards in every resolution except 4K where it came in second by only a few fps.I need 144hz ultra setting, 2080ti only pulls 80-90 in metro ultra
I need 144hz ultra setting, 2080ti only pulls 80-90 in metro ultra and other new games with similar performance in 1440p, I will stick with 1080p for more years cuz they still can't make it powerful enough to run 1440p 144 ultraProbably need a better psu for that combo, if it's anything like the 2080ti you'll be looking at 300w+ and just as close with the cpu. You'd be looking at possibly a 700w+ draw. Even the i9 9900k/2080ti combo had 850w recommendations.
And second the monitor, the 3080ti is going to be a 1440p/144Hz - 4k card, just as the 2080ti is now, Any 1080p monitor is doing all that cpu/gpu power a disservice. Ppl were running that monitor satisfactorily with the 1080ti, which trades blows with a 2070 Super.
Its CAD CPU price jumps from 900 to 750 every 12 hours as they restock and stock it back up. I don't understand what you guys on about I need 144 hz ultra for 4 years at least and all videos I watched of 2080ti 2k ultra it doesn't get past 100 fpsMy goodness 900 dollars for the CPU? Where the heck do you live my friend? That CPU can be had for 500 to 550 dollars. 2400 US dollars is way to much for that build. The monitor at 23 inches is not very good at all and at 1080p like Karadjgne said. It is absoletly pointless to buy a 3080Ti your throwing 2k away when all you need for that monitor is a 2060 or 2070 plain for 1080p gaming with AA methods turned on and high quality settings. First off why you want a 3080Ti? Your playing at HD resolution when that card is built for 4k resolution. If you play at 2k resolution then you get a 2070 like I said. All that money and your going to get 200fps and then some while the monitor is 144hz. What you want is a 2k or 4k monitor if your going to buy a 3080Ti or else your blowing your wad. Also once again tell me why that CPU and the parts are so expensive where do you live my friend?

Those competitive FPS players who want all the fps, who will get an i7/i9, pair it with a 2080Ti, and then run on lowest settings for maximum fps and - some swear by this - to reduce input latency.Don't think I've ever met anybody who sacrificed a quality picture because of the 'need for 144fps'.
