Primarily a digital audio workstation (recording studio)

Looks very good for that. My only recommendation would be to switch the PSU to something like an EVGA Supernova G2 650/750. 1000 watts isn't necessary and you could still SLI two GTX 960's or use any single graphics card if you wanted to.
