Please explain Bound spells

As a barbarian, I don't cast my own magic, but have a few enchanted
things. I have noticed that many people recommend getting Constant
Effect "Bound Dagger" or "Bound Shield". What does this actually
mean?

Eg: does Bound Dagger give you an extra dagger? Does it interfere
with your normal weapon?

Bound items are very nice alternatives to more expensive weapons. The
advantage I like best is you only carry around the weight of a steel weapon.
I really like the Bound Longbow because I only use marksman weapons
occasionally so there is plenty of time for it to recharge between uses.

Bound Dagger temporarily summons a daedric dagger that enhances your
skill while it's equipped. Whatever you are currently wielding gets put
back in your inventory, but is then reequipped when the spell expires.
Bound armor and shields work the same way - your old armor is put back
when the summoning spell wears out.

The reason people recommend these as choices for constant effect
enchantments is that it's effectively a daedric item that never wears
out - if it gets damaged, just remove the item summoning it, then
reequip and you have a new item.

So would Bound Axe be as powerful as my Daedric Axe?

If not, I guess there isn't so much advantage for me.

If your axe is enchanted with something better than fortify axe skill 10
points constant effect, then no. On the other hand, a bound axe weighs a
lot less than a real one.

Well, its defined as light (has no weight).
Not sure if this affects the skill base though or if that is scripted.

I think it's Heavy Armor - It's like a Daedric (usualy all bound things are like a Daedric) - then I
think you will get Heavy Armor points....
