Please Give Me Suggestions for Gaming PC Parts

MONITOR RESOLUTION: I am planning on plugging my pc into a a sony xbr HDTV. This tv has an hdmi port and a dvi port.

It appears to have a 1366 X 768 (HDTV) or 720p resolution.



ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:

I will be building this system myself; I have no prior experience with building a pc. Will I need a kit?
I would also like for my pc to run quietly as I might be using it to play movies.
I would also like a video card with an hdmi port and an audio card with a hdmi or coaxial port.
I would like for my pc to be able to run games like Fallout 3, Bioshock and Crysis on high to max settings. Is this possible with my budget?

For Canada, there are www.ncix.com, www.newegg.ca...
And if you are going to use that TV as your primary screen, then you would just need to spend about half the money to play the current games at the highest settings...
And even for 1080p LCDs, you wont have to spend that much for playing the current games...
Give us the budget in CAD and check out those websites that I had linked...
 
Considering my 9800gtx+ runs all of those games with max aa and settings at the same res....he definitely won't need more than half of that...if even that much

You don't need to spend 150$ ****** on a damn mouse are you stupid? i use a 15$ mouse with no damn problem at all...and no don't buy the g13 thats just a waste as well...you don't need a g15 either....spend 50$ on a mouse and keyboard then call it a day....

And now you don't neeeed a GTX 275 graphics card....but it would allow you to use full AA and AF along with all max settings in games....i would opt for a 260 GTX if its a bit cheaper since you don't even need the power of a 260 GTX in the first place....there you have about 390 CAD saved...

You also DO NOT need a dedicated sound card unless you have 7.1 surround sound and not some cheap ass walmart system/receiver....the onboard sound will more than suffice for a 5.1 system and if your using a tv for sound it will be fine as well...

If you would like to save some more money you really don't need the 750w corsair...downgrade to a 620w corsair...
 
Valkore apparently doesn't understand exactly how much force is needed to propel 720p graphics ^_^.

(Not very much) The 275 will eat a lot of things alive even at 1920 * 1080... 720p is a joke for that kind of a card. You can save money and electricity by buying a cheaper card, like the 260 (216) which'll STILL be overkill for the needs you stated.

Follow Rewindlabs recommendation; the days when onboard sound was the worst thing on the planet are over, and the difference between a dedicated sound card and an onboard one is negligible unless you're some (sick) audiophile.

and yeah, unless you're planning to add another gtx 275 (or another card in crossfire/SLI) you don't need 750w or 60A on your 12v.

For RAM, you're paying a pretty high premium for a "Dominator" series. Use this instead

Better timings (7-7-7-24 vs 8-8-8-24) and cheaper by about 70 cad.

Valkore, are you a hardcore, professional gamer? I don't know why you're willing to spend another ~$400 cad for peripherals... The experience won't be as rewarding as you're thinking it will be, except maybe for the mouse, and even then you could still settle for less (the mamba looks like a palm mouse... check out the deathadder

The keyboards I see as unnecessary... what are you planning to do with the gamepad anyway? I've hardly ever needed more than a keyboard and a good mouse, RTS, RPS, MMORPG, anything.

 
Just compare ncix.com, newegg.ca and directcanada.com for the price. there is a tons of site that sell stuff in canada.

My recommend if you can affort it :

CPU : I7 920
MOBO : Asus P6T or Gigabyte X58
RAM : 3x2gb of good ram. Not too cheap.
HDD : 7200rpm and 32mb cache ( Western Digital is my choise )
GPU : GTX260-GTX275-GTX285 or HD4870-HD4890
PSU : The corsair you listed is one off the best ! 750w-850w is fine for SLI-CF
DVD : the one you want ...
CASE : its your choice.
Cooling : a good 120mm Heatsink

Mouse and Keabord ... your choice too.
I have a G15 + razor DeathAdder and im pleased.

For the Resolution of the TV you have. the GTX260 is PLENTY ... if you plan on buy a new Monitor the support 1080P the GTX260 is still enough but less futurproof. but speaking about futurproof ill recommend the GTX260 or HD4870 cause the newer DX11 card are comming so youll have to swap some soon if you want to have DX11.

@ Rewind, the peripherals and other stuffs are more of a personal choice and you shouldn't be kinda harsh while objecting to it...
Better put it in a softer tone so that he would atleast see what you are trying to say... 😉

And for the OP, you have a lot of CPU and graphics power, that you will not be putting into good use at all with that LCD TV of yours as a screen...
So you can invest some cash on better screen like a 1900x1200 monitor or a 1080p TV...
