I need help how to setup the raid 0 please, I read the manual and check other topics/forums and I couldn't seem to get it to work. Actually, I couldn't get to access to IRST. I thought it would be easy as changing the Sata Mode Selection to RAID - Restart - Control + I, then set it up from there.

Its my first time building my own pc, so what i see from the Boot up is just ASUS logo with a message press Delete or F2 to enter the Bios and thats it. If anyone could guide me or link me to a better guide, I would appreciate it. Please see me rig info and setup below.

Asus z87 Pro - UEFI BIOS Utility v 1707
x2 Samsung SSD 840 Pro - Plugged into to SATA 1 and 2 (both black color port)
OS is not installed
DVD drive plugged in
Under Sata Config, both SSD is not showing in the Drive list
Under Boot Tab, both SSD are showing in the Boot Option Priorities

Is there anything else I need to change in CSM or PCH Config --> Intel Rapid Start Technology?

Thank you in advance.

Go to section 5 on user manual http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/LGA1150/Z87-PRO/E7832_Z87-PRO.pdf
First set your SATA mode to RAID mode in BIOS, save and exit.
During POST press Ctrl+I to enter RAID BIOS.
Here select your RAID pair and create your RAID volume.

Simple as that.

That's what I tried to do but like i said, i couldn't get to the IRST. I press Control + I during and after POST, but theres nothing showing up but loading directly to BIOS

I am now seeing POST with american megatrends logo, but then theres still no IRST section for me to press control + I on, i even tried mashing control + I during POST. no luck. I'll see if i can record a video for me to show...

Ok heres what i did and what happen now.

I reset the BIOS/ load it back to default, disable logo and enable RAID again. Save and Exit and still doesn't let me access to IRST after mashing control + I.

Went back to BIOS --> Boot --> CSM mode and played around with it changing some setting like "Boot from Storage Device" changing from "Legacy OPROM first" to "Both, UEFI first" and tried every option it has, but still no luck.

Giving up on that, i tried to install my OS windows 7 to one of the SSD. After it finish installing, the pc restart itself but OS fails to boot. After restarting several times, i decided to go back to Windows OS installer and just clean my SSD from there by deleting whatever it has saved (partition and such). And now i'm back and stuck to BIOS...

Asmedia ports probably doesn't support RAID. Otherwise you should see its RAID BIOS signal too during POST, assuming RAID is enabled for Asmedia ports too. Nevertheless using Intel ports for boot drive(s) is a good idea.
