I built my own PC with my boyfriend. Certain apps and games wont load. It says that my parameter is incorrect. My boyfriend fiddles around with modding and such for his State Of Decay game. Not exactly sure what he did but he deleted and moved some folders around and now I cant open certain things. I have windows 10 VISTA I believe. Every time I try to reset, whether delete all files or keep personal data it always fails. It resets and acts like its deleting but it always says something went wrong with the process. I don't know what to do and I've looked everywhere. I'm not tech savvy and everything is too complex for me to understand. It says I don't have administration to open or mess with the settings when I try to fix it. My Xbox Beta app wont open, State Of Decay, my background app I use for a live background, and probably some more things say it wont open. At this point I want to completely reset everything back to when I first got the computer, when there was nothing on it. I'm not sure how to do that or the steps I need to take. I'm not sure if this helps at all but I have a B450 AORUS Pro Wifi motherboard. Any help tips or suggestions would be highly appreciated!

No such thing as Windows 10 Vista. W10 came even after W8, which followed Vista.

Before you go to the extreme of a complete format of the OS, I would try a Malware scan then SFC.

Reason being you never know what may or may not be attached to a mod you DL and install (if that's what he did). Second reason is you may have system files corrupted by the mod or what he did.

Malwarebytes Download https://www.malwarebytes.com/mwb-download/
