The Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 gaming, ASUS Strix, EVGA FTW+ ACX 2.0+ and MSI 970 Gaming ME are probably your best choices. The EVGA and MSI models are the most likely to fit your case though since they are somewhat shorter cards.

It would be prudent to know what your PSU brand and model is, and what card you currently have installed as there are MANY different card models that could have come in that machine.

Hi Darkbreeze,

thanks for your help, I dont know how to check what is my PSU, and which PSU and brands you would recommend?
How about SSD? Should I get one or replace?

Thank you so much!

There should be a label on the power supply that has it's model number and specifications. Sometimes it's on the side of the power supply that you can't see because it's against the case. You may need to remove the four screws that attach it to the case, and turn it until you can see the label.

I always recommend an SSD, well, almost always. If the system is too old to support it or uses IDE drives rather than SATA drives, then of course you can't, but that's not the case with your unit. An SSD for the operating system and installed applications would offer some real performance benefits for everything aside from gaming. For gaming, it really only benefits map and level loading.

As for power supplies, I'd recommend a 550w or higher tier 1 or tier 2 unit as listed at the following link for the GTX 970:

okay, as for choosing SSD, "SAMSUNG 850" there's 2 types, EVO or PRO & (128, 250, 500gb)
which one is suitable for mine requirement?
Just in case at some point down the road I decide to run two GPUs, how much watts do I need?

So I will upgrade to :

GPU : Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 gaming / ASUS 970 Strix
PSU :
SSD :

Please help me to fill in and correct me!

Thanks so so much!

The Samsung 850 Pro, last I checked, was the fastest consumer SATA SSD on the market. The EVO version is slightly slower, but still very fast and very good. I'd go with the EVO as it's quite a bit cheaper.

If you decide to SLI the GTX 970, I'd probably look to this model as being the combination of least expensive but highest quality at a budget price. The best bang for the buck if you will, and although GTX 970 WILL run on a 750w unit, which is what's recommended for it, I'd probably go slightly higher as is the usual procedure we recommend so that you don't end up running up near the units peak capacity which tends to cause hot power supplies that are less efficient and don't last as long.

HOWEVER, it would be prudent to know what your current power supply model is so we can verify that it's an ATX power supply. ASUS doesn't list the form factor of the case or power supply on that machine so I can't positively say that a standard ATX power supply will fit. I'd need to know the model number of the unit that is in there to verify that.
