Hey there,

Today I was with my computer, working fine since a lot of years.
But I was changing the thermal paste as maintenance, surprise to me it seems I tightened too much the cooler and i bent some MOBO pins, non are broken. Obviously it didnt start afterwards. So I fixed the bent pins and placed everything back and I got this "attempt to boot" loop, unlimitedly, with no display, with no beeps, no post and with all the fans and leds working fine.

I don't know what to do as I have been hours already with a lens fixing the bent pins and I'm starting to think that the CPU may have died, the question is, how could that be possible, just for tightening too much a cooler...

I cant lose this CPU, it means a lot to me as I had it for almost 10 years.

Tested things:
- 1 Stick ram
- No ram (beeps)
- Different PSU
- Boot with only CPU
- Boot with only basics
- Clear CMOS

Yet to test (unable to, as I dont have extra components)
- Different CPU
- Different MOBO

Computer specs:
i7-2600 3.40Ghz
RAM - 2x8Gb DDR3 + 2x4 DDR3
Corsair 550W PSU
GTX 1080 8Gb
MOBO - H77MA-G43

Thanks in advance,
Daniel

Update: I have been messing with the computer and reseatting the CPU 999 times and now it doesnt loop. It boots normally from what I can see, but there is still no display.
So I guess some pins managed to get onntheir proper place, but there is still no display
