Hi all,

I seem to have a peculiar situation and I just can't put my fingers on it...Recently my computer started crashing while playing CS:GO on Steam, as well as other games like BF3 and SC2, but It happened a lot more with steam games.

The issue wasn't with the crashes, but after it crashes the computer seems to not make it past POST and I am left with a PC that runs (fans, lights etc) but no monitor/keyboard/mouse that works. Sometimes it comes to life 2-3 hours later, but has also taken up to 2 full days before it switches on!

On occasion I can run my computer fine for 2-3 days, but I never shut it down because I am afraid that it will just not power back on again...I even managed to save up some cash and basically rebuilt the PC, believing (after basic troubleshooting) that it was clearly a Mobo problem...

Things I have tried, that has not solved anything:
- remove keyboard, mouse and all other USB devices
- replace power cable
- tried different wall sockets
- compressed air to clean dust
- cold shutdown, waited 2 hours, reboot
- checked for loose cables
- disconnected non-essential drives (CD-Rom, and extra HDD)
- upgraded key components (CPU, Mobo, RAM)
- tried different mouse & keyboard

...but none of these helped me narrow down the problem. I believe it may be a PSU issue, however, the computer does work in general, and if it was teh PSU, then wouldnt the fans, lights and other things just not work?

So it was happening on my old Rig, then I upgraded almost everything, but the only components I've kept are the PSU, old HDD (as extra now) and CD-Rom drive...as well as fans...wtf?!

Old Rig:

Motherboard: GA-H67A-UD3H-B3
CPU: Intel Core i5-2500
RAM: 8GB RAM (Kingston)
GFX: nVidia GeForce 550Ti
HDD: Seagate 1TB
PSU: 570W
Fans: 4 (2x 180mm, 2x 120mm)

Current Rig:

Motherboard: Asus Sabertooth Z-97 MKII
CPU: Intel Core i5-4690
RAM: 8GB RAM (Corsair Vengeance)
GFX: nVidia GeForce 750Ti
HDD: Seagate 1TB
SSD: 128GB Samsung Evo
PSU: 570W
Fans: 4 (2x 180mm, 2x 120mm)

Same problems happening...please help!

I did re-install a new version of Windows on the SSD, which is now my primary boot disk.

The computer is working now but again I fear it will just crash anytime. I guess it could be the PSU...
