Thanks for reading this.
This is what has been happening the last week or so..
I noticed the pc after left idle, will shut down... Then the light next to the power button will flash.. Not in any kind of order, just blinks constantly.. When I go to power the computer on, It acts as it going to start, the computer lights up and you can hear the fan running. Then within maybe 2 seconds the computer shuts down again.. At this point I cannot power the computer back on.. I unplugged the power supply and flipped the switch... Then when I plug it back in and flip the power supply switch back to on.. The computer sometimes powers on and sometimes does nothing. The last time this happened maybe a week ago, I unplugged the computer from the power strip and plugged it directly into the wall.. The computer powered back on and I assumed it was the power strips fault... Well today it has happened again..
I recently changed the circle battery on the mobo about 2 months ago.. I used a battery I had in my junk drawer.. So it may be old even though it was still in the packaging..
When I do get the computer to power on and I am using it, It does not shut off... I have played for hours and it will not shut off. Only when it is idle, or it happens when I shut the computer off..
Recently I have put in a new graphics card and stick of ram.
The specs are
Asus M4A78TD EVO
AMD Athlon II 260 3.2ghz
Radeon 460X OC
Kingston 4gb 1600mhz
Corsair 450w PSU
Also the graphics card does not hook up to the psu, it runs directly from the mobo... Not sure if that depletes that circle battery or not.
Thanks for taking the time and looking at this.
