I'm having this pretty big issue where for example when playing watch_dogs all on ultra except textures my computer works fine with an average of 40 fps but when I put the textures on ultra it reboots by itself in less than 10 seconds!
In far cry 4 for example I can play it maxed out 1080p but after half an hour or so my computer blackscreens and only the sound plays, histerical because my GPU temp is only at 50c!
Specs:
HD 7950
FX 6300
4 GB RAM
LC Power 6600 watts PSU(used a GTX 480 before this one so I'm confident it's not the PSU fault)
Motherboard:760 GM P23

A very mild 100 mhz overclock to my GPU.
But that's not a problem considering I can run furmark with no issues and 3DMark without a problem, I'm really at a loss.

No, in fact I tried to underclock it to see if it was my PSU, it happened anyway, but the PSU isn't the problem because I had a GTX 480 which needed more power than my HD 7950.

power supply, black screen proves it....

i ran into it when i was using a gtx970 with a dedicated 500W psu... started a game, and just black screen computer sounded like it was running still... are you able to swap the power supply out with a different one to see? i went overkill and installed a dedicated 1200W psu for my system and no problems at all.

i see you are pretty certain its not the power supply, but i beg to differ considering what has been stated... just see if you can borrow a power supply from a friend and test it out.
