HI guys !
I need your help .. I stuck between I5 11500k vs i7 10700k and i7 11700k..
I wonder about PCI 3.0 and 4.0 ..
I7 10700k will not support 4.0
But i5 and i7 11th gen does...
Does i5 can hand handle 1440p games in the next 5 years ? It also supports 4.0 pci ..
Not sure if 4.0 improve the game expirience 🤔
My i7 4790k over 6 years been more than ok for games at 1080p.
Just want to buld PC that will last same ..
Do I need PCI 4.0?
Just don't want to spend another $ for nothing..
Some say i5 it's not enough for gaming
i7 10700k even better ..it stays around 70% load while i5 100% when doing same test..
Any advice ?

Just to be honest I would just keep what you have for another year, that should bring better CPU performance and DDR5, memory with I hope time to mature some, and the 4XXX series video cards that you might even find in stock at regular price.

You already stated that your 4790K does everything OK right now.
