Please help: Do I need to buy SATA cables with my harddrive I ordered?

Hello,

I decided to get two harddrives for my first build. I got the:


Western Digital WD1002FAEX Black 1TB 7200RPM 6.0Gb/s SATA3 Hard Drive

It does not say that they come with SATA cables. Do I need to buy it separately like you do for HDMI cables?

If so, what kind of SATA cable should I get? Does it matter? Do I get a SATA cable for my HDD as well?

Wait, I also ordered the ASUS P8z77 deluxe mobo. That should come with SATA cables correct?

first one is a bare drive. you'll need a 6gb sata cable for that ( sata3).

the ssd will come with screws and maybe an adapter plate but haven't had one come with a cable yet. so get 2 sata3 cables ( 6gb)

gotta edit this. didn't the new motherboard come with any?

Mobo should come with a couple. As it's a high end one I'd be expecting between four and six, so you're fine. Go look at a review if you're worried (which you should probably do anyway).

if you read the printing on the cables it should yell you what they are. and yes, they're the same hook up.
