Good morning,

I am struggling to understand why I cannot get my new ASUS PCE-AC56 PCI Wireless Express Adapter to pick up the 5 ghz signal my router says it is sending out.

Installing the latest ASUS Drivers (win 10, 64 g) only make the wifi flicker in and out with no consistency in band. Uninstalling those same drivers stops the flickering wifi issue (radio bands go in and out) but then I just have a stable 2.4 ghz connection. I would like to take advantage of the 5 ghz connection my router is spitting out.

According to my Google Wifi app, my home network is spitting out a 5 ghz network band, but I cannot get more than 2.4 ghz on my PC per the above ASUS card.

My ISP is Xfinity, and I have a 450 mbps/sec connection - yet I can't get more than 75 with my 2.4 ghz signal.

Please help - I do not know how to fix this.

Thank you very much,
Luther

I wish I only had this problem. I bought the same wifi card, admittedly without really researching its known issues and when I have it enabled, Windows just freezes completely, no bluescreen or anything it just freezes.
