Please help GTX 1060 6gig won't start up..??..??

So couple months ago I installed a gtx 1060 6gig. All was fine. But this morning when i turned on my PC my monitor would not start up. Says no singnal. So i am stuck with intergrated card. I have no idea what to do??

update: After pluging into intergrated card and getting PC booted. I shut off PC and plugged back into GTX 1060 and it seems to be working now. but still what was that about....?

update: when plugged in gtx 1060 PC will not boot up. man this is fustrating.

The DVI-D port on the GTX 1060 graphics card is faulty/broke.

Can you test the card with another port? Maybe you have a tv with hdmi?

yes. card works fine. My monitor was like 8 years old (lol) no HDMI ports on it. So got me brand new 27 inch monitor, connected to GTX with HDMI and it works. But still tho, graphics card is only couple months old and the DVI-D port does not work on the card any more.

You werent using a VGA converter were you? as the 1000 series cards only output digital on DVI, not the old analogue signal.

No. I was not using VGA converter. I was using DVI-D male to male cable with old monitor. And when i used the same cable to connect old monitor to itergrated graphics the monitor worked. So nothing wrong with the cable cord.
