If i am building a gaming rig, should i choose a intel processor with "K" + z87/97 mobo? or should i buy non "K" processor + B85/h87/h97 mobo and invest on my GPU?

Any suggestions? Tnx

just to be clear $900 is for the system unit only, disregard monitor, keyboard, mouse etc.. .

thanks!

If you're gaming and not overclocking, then a i5 4690 is enough.
