Please help I cant get direct3D to work

My computer was all working fine until the other day...

AMD 750
Soltek SL-75KAV
TNT2 M64
64m ram


suddenley direct3D is not working i cant run in any accelerated modes Quake 3 Arena does not work
I get kernel32.dll errors the screen flashes with textures in strange places etc and it generally crashes.


I had the detenator drivers
tried installing original drivers - no effect
dowloaded directx8 - no effect


I don't know what to do, someone please help!!!

"Tried installing the original drivers," as in "tried installing the drivers from the video card manufacturer," or "tried installing the Detonator drivers from nVidia"? If not the latter, try that.

both...any other suggestions? Do you know what i mean about the choppy visuals?

Is q3a the only game that won't work?
q3a is opengl not directx

Try reinstalling opengl from the q3a cd

96.3 % of Statistics are made up.
