Hey everyone,

I just received a ready to ship RDY system from IBUYPOWER. It randomly turns off and I can’t figure out why. Here are the specs:

AMD Ryzen 9 5950X Processor (16X 3.4GHz/64MB L3 Cache)
Processor CoolingiBUYPOWER 360mm Addressable RGB Liquid Cooling System
Memory32GB [16GB x 2] DDR4-3200MHz
Video CardGeForce RTX 3090 - 24GB GDDR6X (VR-Ready)
Storage1TB WD Black M.2 NVMe SSD + 2TB SEAGATE HDD
MotherboardGIGABYTE X570 AORUS ELITE WIFI
Power Supply850 Watt - CORSAIR RM850 80 PLUS Gold, Full Modular

Once it started randomly turning off I worried it may be needed updates. I’ve updated to the current BIOS motherboard software, I’ve updated windows and I’ve updated drivers on my LG27GN950 (two of them) and now it’s gotten even worse. The PC stays on for less than a minute before shutting down. Is this 850w Corsair not good enough? Looking for answers and super frustrated seeing as how the last IBUYPOWER PC I bought was sent back because I couldn’t fix this issue just a few months ago. There was a 3090 in it as well and it had a 1000+ watt nicest battery I could find in it.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Good question I’m not sure how to check that.

It says system temp 22 degrees Celsius
And CPU temp keeps temp started at 77 degrees Celsius but started climbing and I’m watching it climb from 80 to 90. Now it’s at 106 degrees Celsius. Then 110 degrees Celsius then it shut off. I’m guessing this is a huge issue. Any suggestions?

That is almost certainly a poorly installed waterblock/pump on the CPU.

It is overheating, that is why it is shutting down.

Now...while you may attempt to reinstall it...any errors you make might invalidate the impressive (choke/cough/hack) iBuyPower warranty.
