Hello people
So basically im planning on building a pc for the first time and i have a question:
Im planning on using an intel i3 8100 cpu as i really cant spend too much. Ive also looked into gpu's and i really like the gtx 1060, but will i end up bottlnecking my system as im only using an i3? Ive decided its worth the extra money for a 1060 compared to a 1050 ti if its working to its fullest, but would i be better of with the 1050 ti if the i3 is holding the 1060 back? I intend to use it for gaming and schoolwork, so i dont really need a super powerful cpu, but i want to get the gpu working to its fullest. The 1060 would be about 40-50% of the total cost, which sounds quite high, thats why im asking this. Also would ypu have any suggestions for motherboards to use for this combo as i havent quite decided yet
If you can help its greatly appreciated (and sorry if im a bit of a noob)!

I3 8100 won't bottleneck GTX1060, but that's probably as far as you can go without the bottleneck. I highly suggest you pay the extra for a 1060 over 1050ti if you can, because the gap is pretty big. You can also consider 1060 3GB or a 970.

The i3 is a good match for the 1060, except in games which will need more than 4 threads. Even then you can still play those games, you'll just see framerate drops due to the CPU maxing out here and there. So do a little research into how much CPU your preferred games need, as long as a basic 4 thread quad core is all it needs then the i3 will be enough.
