Please help im desperate :(

Hi dearest community,

My pc boots up but has no beep sound and no display. it was working just fine last night. the thing is that I tried everything to boot it up but nothing seems to work. I tried to isolate the problem by removing components one at a time and listen to the beep sound. strangely there was no beep sound at all. No ram no beep sound. No GPU no beep sound. now theres just the CPU left and still nothing. if only the thing beep i could know the issue 🙁

the pc is custom built and is less than two years old. I have the following specs and changed nothing since 1st built:

-AMD FX8120
-Corsair XMS3 16GB DDR3 (2x8gb)
-Gigabyte Ultra Durable 2 GA-970A-D3
-Western digital 320GB 7200rpm
-Seagate barrucada 2TB 7200rpm
-Radeon 7790 1gb
-Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit
-Coolermaster extreme 525w (kinda lame)

I suspect that I have a burnt mobo 🙁 but im not sure because I had the same issue last week but it booted up after a couple of tries.

please help!! I need to work 🙁

ok wrong term used. it does not boot up

I removed all components. there is just the CPU attached and still it does not make any beep sound.

You need a few other things in there to make it 'boot up'.
RAM, a drive with an OS...stuff like that.

also it does not turn off when I hold on the switch button

initially everything was connected.. the GPU, ram, hdd etc.. but it did not boot. i tried to isolate the issue by removing components one at a time but strangely it never made a beep sound when i removed RAM and GPU(normally it should).

so im suspecting a burnt mobo. it just want to confirm this?

thanks but i tripled checked everything. besides i did nothing that could cause a loose cable. it was working just fine last night

unfortunately no. it does not beep after i installed the ram, gpu etc..

back to square one! 🙁

well , first signs are usually the gpu and cpu fans not spinning ( btw have you just tried installing 1 ram stick in the slot FARTHREST form the CPU , ang on the iGPU?)

tried furthest slot - no results!
i don't have integrated video!

im super annoyed especially where i am theres no shop which sell AM3+ mobos

solved. turns out that the BIOS crashed. rolled back and good to go now

wait there's still a problem. whenever I shut it down it cannot turn back on again (when I press the power button nothing happens) I have to switch off the psu and turn it back on, then I can press the power button.

this is so weird. is there a problem with my psu?
