I run a Windows 7 professional OS,

My MB is a P8Z77-V deluxe. I currently have my OS running from a SSD (Crutial 128gb).
I have two 1TB WD's for additional storage.

I picked up a Kingston HyperX 240GB SSD, and plugged it in to use it as a second drive ( keeping the crutial as the primary.

Windows is not recognizing this drive! (well sort of..)
It is recognized in device manager, but it is not in my 'Computer' loadout as a drive I can access and deposit/install files on.. It has no drive letter assignment, in spite of both the device manager and my bios recognizing it's existence.

It's in ACHI mode. Plugged into the Intel SATA ports, connected with a 6G cable.
I don't know what else I can do to get this drive to show up and be usable. Can anyone help?

Thank you,
Gregory

Solution
Try:

1. Search for "Computer Management" - open it
2. Storage -> Disk Management
3. Right click on the drive and select "Change Drive Letter and Path" and assign a letter to the drive

Or:

1. Search for "Disk Management"
2. Right click on the drive and select "Initialize Disk"
