Please Help! IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL BSoD

I have recently built my own gaming pc and have installed windows 8.1 operating system on it. However I am constantly receiving "Blue Screens of Death" that vary in what the cause was, from IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL to CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT. Frustrated with the fact that i couldn't use my computer for more than 30 minutes without it crashing i installed Ubuntu 14.04 LTS and it never once crashed for the couple of weeks that I had it. I have now uninstalled Ubuntu and reinstalled Windows due to my lack of interest in Ubuntu and am facing the same problem as before. Please if anyone knows of any solution that can solve this please let me know. Thanks in advance.

Most likely it's a driver issue, try updating all your drivers, especially the graphics card.

I've installed all the current drivers for the motherboard, graphics card and power supply. Have tried installing the drivers from both disk and online to see if that made any difference but noticed no changes.

Nope, I have never overclocked neither the processor nor the gpu
