i have recently built my own pc and have installed windows 7 64Bit home edition
the install went fine and i uploaded the drivers supplied with the motherboard and windows updates and the graphics card
however on the reboot the computer gets up to windows loading icon and then the monitor disconnects every time
the pc remains on with the HDD light flickering normally
i can open in safe mode
when ever i format the hard drives and install again the same thing happens
i am using a hdmi cable to the monitor which is HD and works with my PS3

how can i install the right drivers if i cant get into windows 7, without using safe mode

This is driving me insane!

these are my specs

Reboot the machine and hit F8 as though you are going into Safe Mode. Select Enable low-resolution video (640 x 480), instead. This is essentially boots Windows normally, but does loads the generic video driver instead of the installed driver. Uninstall the video driver and download the proper ATI Catalyst driver from the AMD website this time.

NEVER use Windows Update for video drivers unless it's an integrated Intel video chip. Discrete cards should always have their drivers downloaded from the manufacturer's website.

your amazing!! works now!!! after 3 days of stress
