Heres the million dollar question: Which graphics card should I use for my workstation?
I am an architecture student, and use Rhinoceros, Vray and Cinema 4D primarily. (Secondarily, I use Revit, Maya, autocad, and yes an unusual bunch of programs)
Im stuck between the: NVIDIA Quadro K4200, a Nvidia Quadro K2000, Radeon R9 290X, or a AMD
FirePro W5100.
Assuming price doesn't matter, (though i'm actually trying to be around 2k) which is best?
The things that I get hung up on are:
(1) the R9 290X seems to have a more stream processing units and a higher band width than the other workstation specific cards (which what I understand was important in rendering) and is fairly cheap.
(2) Amd or Nvidia? From the comparisons i've seen, it just seems like it depends on the program as to which is faster. So which workstation field (Amd or Nvidia) for the programs above?
I don't want feedback other the other parts, but here is my parts list: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/enahuk/saved/49pWGX
Thank you for your help!
