Please help me choose the right card

Hi, I need a graphic card for some video editing / photoshop & playing sims 4

is GTX 970 and 770 too much for that?

the footages I will edit are mostly BMPCC 1080p raw.

those cards would be considered too much. An MSI R9 270 Gaming should be all you need.

is there any Nvidia alternative?
since I will probably use Premiere for editing, and I heard that AMD card may not be that good for those Adobe softwares.

The GTX 760, understandable if your wanting to change platforms, different softwares take advantages of different platforms.

The 770 would be all you need but the 970 is an a lot better card with its new architecture.

Just get the 970 ist super low price and even if it is overboard, you've got enough power to do more than what u specified

I'm putting an ASUS 770 in my next build (LAN party build) and I've looked around, it seems like a very good card, maybe two of those in SLI would be better than a 970, I haven't seen anything about the 970 yet, price is a key factor, the 770 should be fine with your rendering.
I use a AMD (Sapphire Dual-X) R9 270 and it renders the videos fast, but I'm not sure how long your doing these clips for.

The gtx 770 and 970 are about the same price and a gtx 970 sli is way better and consumes way less power

from your choices the GTX 970 and 770 will be great for your task, if you have the money. but you can get an earlier model, since you dont need lots of GPU power. But in my case ill go with the 970, just to ave something powerful there 😉
