I have an ASUS CUSL2-C board, and I'd like a graphic card with GeForce2 GTS chipset, but I don't know what brand is good, could you people help me choosing it?
Thank you very much.

rating by quality Elsa, Guillemot, Creative Labs, ASUS...

your choices should be between Elsa and Guillemot. Elsa's GeForce2 Ultra is the fastest around and the prices will go down when the GeForce3 hits the market.

I recommend Elsa's card.
And he is right that prices are expected to come down when GF3 comes out - so if you can wait, try to hold on for a bit.

NVidia is the maker of the chipset for Elsa's card. Many companies use the same chipset from nVidia and develop their own card to put on the market. However, with all these different manufacturers that are using the same chipset, there are slight variations - e.g. faster memory, etc.

Yea...that, I know, nVidia makes the chip, not the board, I just thought Gladiac = GeForce because they have the same "GeForce2 GTS"
So when is the price going to drop, in about 6 months?

Emm, actually every mobo have bugs, including good old Intel, nothing is perfect in this world.

Every boards sounds good to me to be honest, every ones have their strenght and weaknesses, I just perfer Asus more than others because I had good experience with it and it is the overall best performer.

Anyway, the most important thing about using a mobo is to know it like your girl friend, especially things like when does she get her period so not to upset her too much during that week.

It is like you know your mobo, know the bugs and don't invoke it and you'll be perfect!

Get it?

Was it you that ask why never buy a P3, simply because they are not value for money at the moment! no gruch against them. Will buy them again if AMD is going to be more expensive clock for clock and performance per performance.

Best regards

Maybe they are holding off on releasing soon. I saw somewhere that there was a problem with the GF3 as it relates to some issue which I cant remember at the moment. If I find the site I read this info on I will relay it here

i think the problem you were referring to was with the pentium 4. they're releasing it for the macs first anyway, so there's still time to tweak and fix the bugs before it releases for pc i guess.
