In terms of hardware the Zenbook has a better CPU...
The other specs are less impressive (RAM, SSD), but they are upgradable and the CPU is not! So you should always go with the better CPU.
In terms of chassis i'd go with the ThinkPad, i think it's more durable.

Which one is more futureproof?

8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD are considered the absolute minimum specs nowadays so the Lenovo would be a much better choice.

The Zenbook's CPU is only slightly faster in multi-core performance and virtually the same for single-core.

The Zenbook's RAM is soldered and cannot be upgraded.
