Please help me find an old racing game :S

I really want to remember this game, it was a sort of racing game on tracks (I remember a vulcano map where you could fall into lava and there were crevices where fire would shoot out)

You had combat stuff and you had to kill as many carts or htere was something with flags?

I would be very grateful if someone would find this game for me,

Diddy Kong racing? Only game with karts I remember which has a volcano area you can fall into. Crevices had these lava rivers you could ride and were spitting fire every now and then.
There were balloons rather than flags although...
