hey guys my gtx 570 fried (bsod on startup) and i need a new vga.... so i can play future games as fo4 😉.
ALso i would like to upgrade my pc but later (Whit skylake,ddr4 ram 😀 )
for vga what would be the best buy atm???? I Don't want to change it again in one year lol.
i had this pc for 4 years it's been going strong until now :'(
specs: i5 2500,8 gb ram 1600 mhz, psu gx cooler master 650w,asrock p67 pro 3 se.
Case is a haf 932 with 3 vents stock + one on the sidepanel.
Basically my plan is to get new vga now. What else could i buy now? SSD maybye?
Anyway after that wait until skylake for cpu/mobo/ram/psu?...
Do you think it's the smart choice x)?
What vga to buy? i'm playing 1080p... money is not the problem... i just want the best buck for the money 😉

budget isn't a issue... i'm upgrading vga now so in 6months +- i'll upgrade mobo/ram/cpu. but i would buy either r9 fury or gtx 980 ti at MAX. imho anything more is too much money i'd say
psu is cooler master gx 650 80plus bronze
Also i guess this isn't the best time to get a vga... how will be the next generation gpus?

Being a tier 3 PSU, I wouldn't take it past its 80% capacity. http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html#xtor=EPR-8886

But the Fury X and 980 Ti fall within the 650W range for suggested PSUs. So if you feel like spending that kind of money, do so. I would expect that your i5-2500K would need a bit of help with some OC'ing to max out those cards in demanding games on a busy 64 player server, however.

Then again if cost is no object, a new Skylake CPU/MB/RAM upgrade would be the best if you can wait. Or heck, do both. Upgrade card now and use it in the new build later.

yeah someone already suggested that i would need a new psu for those cards.... it's not worth the risk i'd guess xD? also my cpu is the non k version... can't really oc that much :'(
so what the hell would you say i should get?

Also atm i'm running on integrated hd4000 cpu's gpu so that's pretty much why i wan't to get it now

Compared to your failed GTX 570 (which I used to have), the GTX 970 would be my first choice for the money: http://www.hwcompare.com/18080/geforce-gtx-570-vs-geforce-gtx-970/

If you prefer AMD, you could go with the R9-290X. Although it takes twice the watts of the 970 to produce near the equivalent performance: http://www.hwcompare.com/16055/geforce-gtx-570-vs-radeon-r9-290x/

would you say it's better to get a 970 now and then when it's time (2 years maybye? :) ) another 350+- card ? best bang for the buck ? xD

Yes, definitely. When you pair the GTX 970 up with your i5-2500K, you are going to be pleasantly shocked compared to the GTX 570.

so i guess that's the final solution? Atm getting anything more than a gtx 970 or a 390 is just a waste imho, am i right?
and i have the i5-2500 tbh

OK, I assumed it was the 2500K. So OC'ing is out anyway. Yes, if you are gaming at 1080p/60 Hz, there is no real benefit to a card faster than those. You'll easily avg. above 60 fps in games.

So guys huge problem here... Finally got a 970 but hey guerra what? The pci-e on The card si wayy longer than The one of my mobo.... This should have been compatible....
WHAT CAN I DO NOW?
No solutions found on The net why am i The only dickhead that has these problems?
Also this mobo only has pci-e 2.0... Thats why? Bc its not pci-e 3???

Bullshit

That's impossible. All PCIe x16 slots are the same length. All PCIe gfx cards edge connectors are the same length. It a standard.
What make/model board do you have?
