That, sir, was the longest stream of consciousness single-sentence paragraph I have ever seen at Tom's Hardware :) Don't they teach you kids punctuation these days? I swear--you guys are the end product of a generation raised on text messaging 😀

Hehe. :)

To ikica 1996:

1. Either write in points or well-formed paragraphs.

2. Though reading what you've written, I can totally relate to it. You gotta take a break from gaming, because
you've probably played so many games by now and have started to view the finer aspects of a game. Its
good to the extent where you appreciate it, though once you start subconsciously comparing games, the
appreciation would reduce.

3. I take regular breaks (maybe even 1or 2 weeks at times), though after that I might end up playing games
back-to-back. 😀

Try taking a break from gaming for a month. Don't play anything then grab a new game that looks interesting to you and give it a go. Playing co-op games can really give life to them as well.

Try borderlands 2 or natural selection 2. Something with a social side.

sorry they dont teach english punctuation in serbia

I was also going through this problem...but now i see my interest is getting back.

1. Dont play games too frequently. If you feel getting bored, take a break (1 or 2 days) and do other things.

2. Sometimes, we know we are getting bored but we still continue playing. That adds to boredom. So, try something else than playing games in free time.

3.. Try changing the genre. eg. If you played too many fps consecutively, try racing or strategy etc.

4. If you are repeating the games, dont play games that you completed recently. Instead, pick up an older game and try playing it with new mods etc.

Thats all i can say...all the best for getting back the gamer in you...😀

Well kid, that's part of growing up and having a vast experience of gaming under your belt. You start to recognize and see through game mechanics faster, and that becomes boring to you, because you've already learned it in another game.

But, one thing I've noticed most of the games you've listed are single player, and at your age those should be getting boring. Don't get me wrong, a good single player game with great story is still a great game, but, try playing online games with your friends. It's a lot more fun to do mundane tasks in a game with friends around, watch them mess up something and have a chuckle at their expense. Time flies faster and you enjoy the game more because you end up having fun even if you're losing. Not to mention all kinds of shenanigans you can try in games with a team of friends who can coordinate well. Basically what I'm saying is, it opens up new avenues of gameplay to explore for you, that aren't usually available when you're playing with random people online or a single player.

There's numerous FPS games, like BF3, Planetside 2, Guild Wars 2, Dota 2, League of Legends, Counter Strike, Team Fortress 2, Portal 2, Splinter Cell, Star Craft 2, World of Tanks, and many many more.

Another good advice is, try new genre games that you typically wouldn't try because you think you wouldn't like them. You never know.

Another way is to get involved. See if you have any local tournaments in your area, maybe you play one of the competitive games on their list, go participate, try it out. You might win it, you might not, but it could be a great experience, you might meet new people, make friends, maybe even notice a few games you haven't played before but they'd look fun.

If none of those work, and games just aren't working for you, take a break. Participate in hobbies other people close to you have. Maybe your girlfriend likes dancing and she goes to some dancing lessons regularly, offer to tag along with her, it might be fun. You get the idea.
