PLEASE HELP ME (gpu or psu problem)

around 6 months ago i built a gaming pc. recently while i been playing games my monitor will go black and say "no input". i have been looking all around the internet and cant find answers. the only leads i have found are saying that is could be either a psu or a gpu problem. my psu is a cooler master 850v and my gpu is a msi gtx970. i know its not my drivers because i uninstalled them and replaced them and the problem persists. i have checked my temperatures under load and it is only around 60 degrees Celsius. please help me i am lost on what to do.

This is usually a GPU problem. What are your full specs anyway?

gpu- gtx 970
cpu- i5 6600k
psu- 850v
motherboard- asus z170-p d3
case- nzxt phantom

also i meant to mention i dont have a surge protector and there has been a few power outs over the past few months.

What is your PSU brand and model?

PSU is great quality. I'd have to say it's just the GPU going bad. If it has a warranty, I would look into claiming that warranty.

Does replugging the HDMI/DVI/displayport cable when this happens fix the display or no? Does the sound of the game go on?

the sound of the game and anything running in the background like youtube keeps going. but if i unplug the hdmi and replug it nothing changes.

Could be bad ram sticks, try reseating it, some new ram etc.

i tested my ram with windows memory diagnostics. no problems were detected. im pretty sure its either my gpu or psu

in addition when i play games my power usage doesn't go over 70 percent and my temp is a cool 61 degrees.

i solved it. i oppened the case and dusted. then pressed on my gpu firmly then when i put everything together everything worked fine.
