I really need a desktop PC server to host about 10 people with no lag and no server crashes.

My friends and I use an old apple desktop, but it overheats and crashes alot (im not sure what specs it has since it's my friends, but I have better upload speed where I am, so I want to put a new server together to play)

using pcpartpicker would help me, since this will be a collaborative effort between myself and a few of my friends who wish to help me get everything.

Thanks!

Wanted to make it as light as on your pockets as possible, While not sacrificing any performance. (Assuming this is a dedicated hosting PC)

>Went for a G1840, Since minecraft servers tend to lean towards needing single core performance the most this is perfect. The only case where you'd need an i3 is if you're running several other programs like teamspeak on top of it
>Intel SSD 120/240GB Pick one, But you only really need 120GB if it's just minecraft. These things are rock solid and made to last.
>Went for the cheapest Seasonic there is...
This should work for plain play and 10 people.PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

Less than $700 US

Maybe a few mods in the future, but really just a vanilla server.

Overall the price should lean towards ~$280 without the second SSD.
