TIA

ASUS P8Z77
Intel i5 3570
32 GB (4 - 2 x 4 Corsair)

Yesterday the house lost power. Am plugged into UPS but when I tried to boot afterward nothing. Rig is 37 months old.

Have tested power supply with power supply tester. OK.

Have no case speaker (have one on
order).

Green light on mobo works.

No fans - not even the power supply.

Tried shorting the power connectors on mobo - no reaction whatsoever.

Have removed video card and excess RAM. Have swapped RAM modules.

Any ideas?

Thanks, Cane

Thanks JTAbb-
Sorry I didn't mention that I did that. Right now the rig is on my workbench not plugged into UPS.

Your tag says you are a CPU expert so, looking ahead, if it's not the PS and not the case switch, then how do I tell if it's the CPU or the motherboard? Hate to replace both.

Thanks again.

The solution in this link may help you. Also, the last guy's suggestion is something to try: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/295086-30-motherboard-dead

You really cannot tell for sure if your motherboard is the only thing that is wrong unless you try running your system on another motherboard.

It probably is your motherboard, and hopefully not your CPU.
If you do determine that your motherboard is the problem, you may still have warranty left on your motherboard with Asus.
