So today I decided to wipe my hard drive and freshly install windows 8.1 so I went through with the basic steps it restarted my computer I saw the MSI boot screen but then it quickly went to a black screen with a grey line going across the bottom and I couldn't do anything so I restarted pressed delete to go to bios and that didn't work restarted again and its the same thing! Please help I'm freaking out this is my expensive 3d rendering and gaming rig!

I can't say for sure, but it may have been trying to finish the install.

Since it's a fresh install anyway, I would probably just reformat and start over.

Your BIOS/UEFI still loads, correct? You should be able to enter that and set the boot device to whatever you're installing your OS from.

Alternatively, pressing and hold F8 when your PC boots should give you boot options.

Well I found a keyboard that does work but it doesn't seem to work or load or something until after the msi boot screen so I can't get to bios
