I have a PC Desktop with a Graphics Card.
Do I have to connect the HDMI Cable from the monitor card to the Desktop's graphics card somehow or do I just connect it to where there is an HDMI cable connection on the desktop?

If you want to use the signal from the graphics card the cable has to be plugged into the back of the card. Now a lot of cards do not have an HDMI port so that might be an issue.
