Ordinarily the RAM kit I use runs at 2,000mhz if I do nothing. However the RAM is rated to 3,200Mhz. In order to hit that speed I enable a feature in the BIOS called XMP, which applies an overclock for the RAM, bear in mind that this does also change some parameters for the CPU too.
