Please Help! My Computer wont hook up to the monitor

I just recently built a computer. When I go to hook it up to the monitor, nothing pops up... It says no signal. I have an asrock motherboard, with no onboard video ports. The power supply is fine, and everything is powering up. The only thing that isnt working is the connection to the monitor! I have tried HDMI and VGA but nothing works. Please help D:

Do you have a separate discrete video card? If so, you have to plug it into that, not the motherboard.

No I just read the manual... It is supposed to go on the motherboard where I put it.

Also everything turns on. The graphics card, fans, everything.

not up on amd cpus but looks like that board supports that cpu ok

you may end up having to take the cpu back out and check you didnt bend any pins

thats ok

yeah but if you accidentally bent any pins putting it in you would get the symptoms you are getting

it would all come on but no display

could try re-seating the graphics card--if it has the little clip at the end that should click into place if its in right
