Please help i just upgraded my CPU from the Athlon x4 620 to the Phenom x4 965 at 3.4ghz, not overclocking at all. I put thermal paste and the same CPU cooler i used with my x4 but im getting 50 - 55c on idle, and im on windows 10. When i ran a cpu stress from CPU-Z i got the high 70's C from HWmonitor. Then i shut my system down, and googled what the safe temps were and i know something is wrong now because on my athlon i would get around 35c on idle and late 40c's on load. My case is the Antec P50 and its got very good case airflow so i dont think its the case at all.
Case: Antec P50
Motherboard: GA-MA78LMT-US2H Rev 1.1
Cpu: now its the Phenom x4 965
Cooler: Akasa
Thermal paste: Xigmatek High performance
Power supply: Be quiet 500w Pure power 80+
8gb DDR3 Ram
GPU: GTX 1050
I think its the CPU cooler though, should i change the CPU cooler because its an Akasa one? If so what should i change it to because i cant fit a Hyper 212 Evo into my case because of the height? I need a low profile one. What do i do? 🙁
