PLEASE HELP! newly built pc won't turn on

ok so i just finished building my rig and now it won't turn on... but when i did the benchtest it seemed to work fine. i've already unplugged everything. the only thing i'm trying to turn on atm is the motherboard, cpu, heatsink, memomy attached to psu. i've tried reseting the cmos but didn't work. i get nothing at all not even fans. when i push the power button the psu does 1 ticking sound and then nothing. does this mean that the psu isn't working?

my specs are;
asus p8z68-v pro
intel i5 2500k
hyper 212plus
evga geforce gtx 560 ti
corsair 850W 80 plus gold fully modular active pfu
lg blu-ray writer
lg dvd burner
seagate barracuda 2 tb hdd
crucial 128 gb ssd
cooler master haf x
g. skill ripjaw x3 ddr3 8gb 1600 mhz

please help

Have a look at this. http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/261145-13-perform-steps-posting-boot-video-problems . if your confident that everything is done correctly then look at this to test your psu http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5FWXgQSokF4 . then report back with your results

Looks like a defective mobo to me.
Try with a different PSU and if it still doesnt turn on, RMA it back to the manufacturer.

ok so i tried the video and nothing happened. i take it this means my psu is faulty. thanks for the reply btw

Well if it cant even power a fan then yes i would suggest it is faulty. Either contact corsair or just send it back to the shop you got it as if it didnt work out of the box you should get a replacement

Yes that should always be turning if the psu is on. PSU=broken by the sound of things

If the MoBo is dead then the PSU wont even power a single fan. Happened with me. I'm getting a new mobo today. (RMA Successful)
