Please help OC 3570k at 4.0

I've just started to learn about OC and would like to know your opinion on my first attempt.

Using prime95 blend 2hrs (no errors):
vcore max - 1.16
VID - 1.2109
CPU load max core temp - 73C
CPU idle/(low usage) max core temp - 47C
CPUTIN max - 90C
cpu power - 61 watts
tdp - 77watts
GPU - idle, not stress tested, 34C

Using prime95 in place large fft - error less than 1min:

I've read that 4.0 does not require too much voltage.
If I get error in Prime do you think this voltage is still low?
Should I use manual without offset?

Is there an option to have the overall voltage auto set as well?

Your temps aren't dangerous but high for my taste. Not familiar with that cooler. With the evo, I idle right around 30C and 59C under OCCT load.

i tried increasing it a bit..
what do you think about 4.2GHz using offset mode + 0.200?

after an hour of prime here are the results
vcore max 1.248
max temp on load 79
ave temp on load 70
idle 37

do you think I can still push this to 4.4?or the temps are already bad?

you may hear varying opinions on the temp. I hear 85c is safe. i read 95c for stress testing is ok. I get about 90c has my high during prime95. highest i got in actual use, i.e. playing games, was about 65c.

im at 4.7ghz, 1.296v, i just did the offset thing last night(finally) and have an positive offset of 0.12.

what i was reading is, voltage minus vid gives you your offset. so in my case 1.296v-1.1709= .12 roughly. I put this into the offset, using the positive offset. yours most likely is different.

thanks.. in battlefield 3 i get around 67max at 4.2GHz..
however, sometimes I see shadows that are stuck, is that related to my cpu OC or something else?

I'd keep an eye on the temps but that's well under the "not good" zone.

I stay well under 60C in BF3 at 4.1GHz. Haven't see stuck shadows but sometime have debris or a corpse stuck in midair.

so that could be a BF3 bug, hopefully crysis 3 won't hafe those bugs..

maybe i can try lowering the offset to make it a bit colder?
