Today all the parts for my new build arrived except the CPU. So I started messing around with them. I have read that you first have to ground yourself before handling any PC parts. So I found this tutorial that says that you have to install the power supply, mount it to the case and plug it into the outlet WITHOUT turning it on. The problem is that it was turned on the whole time. And I touched all of my components. So basically my questions are: Is my power supply okay?(seeing as it wasn't connected to anything while powered on and I don't know what can happen)
And 2: Are my components okay? Please say yes I spent really good money on this.
Thank you so much for considering to reply.
PS: I forgot to mention that this is my first PC build. i've owned many PCs before but I just chose the parts and had someone build it for me. So I am just terrified of doing it now.

I'm pretty sure the advice to have it plugged in and turned off is more to protect you from shock, rather than prevent damage to the PSU. I wouldn't start plugging stuff into the PSU without its rocker switch turned off, but other than that you should be fine.

Thank you so much for the quick reply. What about my power supply though? Is it ok from being powered on even though not connected to anything?
