Thankyou for your replies. Ive seen a genuine asus 180w power pack from UK chargers.com for £40. Which I thought was a good price.

I read that I could get away with the 230w as the 1060 I've bought is a 6pin. (Now I could be getting my wires crossed here. I'm still new and learning the pc gaming world) I still will go with the extra 180w pack to make sure, as I also read under powering a Gpu is very bad?

Once the 180w arrives. I believe I got to move some pins on the motherboard to activate the 180w pack (I have a You tube vid saved for what pins need moving) once that is done. Then plug in. Install drivers (after uninstalling the old ones) and should be ready to go. That correct?

Thankyou again for your time

One other thing, the power point I got with the g20cb is a 100-240v 3.2A pack, now does that mean I have 768 watt to play with ?

I really appreciate your time to answer :)

Hi can i just clarify. Are you saying you are going to have both a 180w and your old psu running at the same time? If so do not do this. The 550W link i sent previously is a gold rated fully modular EVGA PSU for about £70. This is more than enough for your needs on its own.

Does it not matter the size /power of the psu for a g20? As it uses same sort of setup as a laptop due to being compact? Sorry if they seem daft questions I'm still learning the pc world.
I did read somewhere that a fella running a 1060 on the 230 psu due to being a 6pin card. But also read that under powering can cause hardware problems. I'm so out my depths here lol.
