I love my MSI GTX 980 TI. But I have very loud coil whine.
This is NOT a problem as far as noise is concerned, because 99.9999% of the time I'm using my headset when the card is in action and I don't even hear it anyway. So I'm COMPLETELY unconcerned with the sound of it: I'll never hear it.
It was only by chance I heard it this time and realized that, at some point since June, when I got it, the card makes a hiss-like noise when it's in action. Almost like a tea pot blowing off steam lol.
Is this harmful to the card? Do I NEED to RMA it? Or if the sound doesn't bother me, am I okay?
