Please Help W/ GPU!

Hi! Last week I ordered an i7 4790k and a GTX 760. I did not realize until now that the card I ordered is superclocked (overclocked by manufacturer). Will this make my PC unable to run on the 550w PSU that I ordered, and is overclocking dangerous? Will overclocking require more cooling?

As long as you have a good quality PSU, you should be ok. What is the brand and model of the PSU? A factory overclocked GPU will be fine and will have aftermarket cooling already.

I have a Corsair cs550m. It got good reviews. By aftermarket cooling, do you mean the fan built into the card? Also, does NVIDIA/EVGA overclock the gpu, or is it a 3rd party? I just want to make sure i'm getting a gpu made 100% by NVIDIA. Thanks

You're good to go then 😀 That is a quality PSU.

And yeah, a lot of manufacturers add better cooling to non-reference cards all round; whether it be more heatpipes, better heatsink, less restrictive shroud and better fans.

EDIT: I assume that EVGA overclock the GPU themselves, you will definitely be getting an Nvidia GPU! Nvidia and EVGA are basically synonymous lol.
