Please help Windows 7 not allowing transfer of data to a USB

Hey All

so my usb that is out of the box is not working when i place it in my laptop. I try to copy a doc but i get i need admin permission to continue. I tried the USB on another machine and it worked fine i tried another USB on the laptop and i was getting the same error. I also tried the following. ALso can vreate folders in the USB but just not copy anything to it.

1 To take ownership of a file or folder
2 turn off UAC or User Account Control.
3 Enable the Built-in administrator account. Built-in Administrator is a hidden administrator account.

What is the usb device? What is the source and the destination? Are you logged in as an administrator? What is the error message you receive?

Do you have an anti-virus program that restricts the access of USB storage devices on the computer? On our network at work I turned off all access to USB storage devices on the computers to prevent malware and other concerns.

Also, is this a home computer or is this computer on a company network and on a domain?

I am logged in as admin
"you do not have permission to save in this location contact the administrator to obtain permission"

It is a work laptop and i am the IT admin
